Parents are invited to the one hour Parent Presentation that will provide an overview of the week, a special musical performance, suggestions on how to encourage young women to incorporate the ideas they have been taught into their family life, and a viewing of the highlight video from the week. Young women will return home with their parents once the meeting is finished.
Overnight registrants are placed in groups with other overnight young women and day registrants are placed in groups with other day young women. Groups consist of attendees of similar ages and grade levels. Attendees will be able to see all their friends during the conference.
The registration form will no longer ask for individual girls’ names in the group request section, but will ask for one parent’s phone number. Requests will be linked by using one parent’s 10-digit phone number as the linking number. Each girl wanting to be in the same group must use the same number. Young women can request up to four girls to be in their room/group on the registration form. Requests cannot be guaranteed after Monday May 1st.
Safety, Security & Supervision
Safety and security is one of our top priorities. The hotel provides 24-hour security and indoor rooms, and we provide additional security guards at night. While there are televisions in each hotel room, we ask that the young women not turn them on. They will also not be able to access pay-per-view or television programming 14 and up. Each group of young women will be supervised by a counselor who has undergone an interview and training process. Adult chaperones, conference staff, and counselors will ensure all the young women are safe at the hotel and EVIT.
